I am writing this to help people make good use of the resources made available to them. This document targets those who already own an account on Isis. Some basics are also covered to help people get started.

Think of your account as your little home on the Internet. If you hadn't already done something with it, it is still an empty house, with no furnitures, no appliances, no pictures on the wall, nada.

The easiest way to “move in” is with a software that helps with file transfers, i.e., an FTP client. There are thousands of FTP clients out there. One I particularly like is called FileZilla. It is free, very intuitive, supports large files, supports FTP, FTPS, and SFTP, and doesn't care what operating system you use because the source code is freely available.
